Nutrition in modern times - parties and celebrations

Tuesday, September 15, 2026 | 17:00–22:00

How is it possible to prepare party food that is both tasty and nutritious? In this course we look at how to adapt recipes to intolerances, allergies or other nutritional needs without sacrificing taste or joy.

We cook beautiful and tasty party dishes together, learn to substitute ingredients in a simple way and find solutions that suit the whole family.

Special education

At both courses, Bríet Birgisdóttir and Rut Eiríksdóttir, nurses with years of experience in nutritional counselling and lifestyle changes, will have a short educational session and an open chat about conscious eating. It will, among other things, cover how we can increase presence during meals, listen better to bodily signals, and build a healthier and more pleasant relationship with food.

Included

  • Practical cooking under the guidance of Dóra Svavarsdóttur

  • Short education on mindful eating with Bríet Birgisdóttir and Rut Eiríksdóttir

  • Shared meal at the end of the course

  • Participants are encouraged to bring containers and take left-overs home

  • A substantial electronic recipe booklet is included
