Equal Pay Policy and Equality Plan

Purpose and Objectives

The equal pay system of Klíníkin Ármúla is based on the ÍST85:2012 standard on the basis of Article 7 of Act No. 150/2020 on the Equal Status and Equal Rights of the Genders and is documented in the CCQ quality system. The purpose and objective of Klíníkin's equality plan and equal pay policy is to promote equality for all genders in accordance with the law on their equal status and equal rights, and to follow the principle that all genders are paid equal pay and enjoy the same terms for the same or equally valuable work.

The equality plan, which also contains an equal pay policy, was approved by the board on 27.03.2023 and shall be reviewed every three years, cf. Article 5 of the Act. This plan has been approved by the Directorate of Equality and the current version shall be accessible on Klíníkin's website. 

Scope

The policy applies to all staff of Klíníkin Ármúla.

Equal Pay Policy and Equality Plan of Klíníkin Ármúla

This equal pay policy is an integral part of Klíníkin's wage policy. Klíníkin emphasises gender equality and utilising the strengths of all staff equally so that the talents and skills of all human resources are utilised to the fullest, and this is documented with this policy. Klíníkin's policy is to be a workplace where everyone is valued based on competence and performance and where everyone has equal opportunities to assume responsibility and carry out tasks regardless of gender. 

At Klíníkin, payments are made above the rates of current collective agreements, according to predetermined internal criteria. External factors that can also affect wages are current collective agreements, laws and regulations, market wage developments, which also take into account position, knowledge, experience, education, and age.

Klíníkin complies with laws, regulations, and agreements concerning equality that are in force at any given time.

Klíníkin's main objectives regarding equality are:

  • to pay all genders the same terms for the same or equally valuable work,

  • to be a workplace where all genders have equal opportunities for both work and professional development,

  • to be a workplace where all genders enjoy the same opportunities for vocational training and education,

  • to be a workplace that finds ways to reconcile the family and professional lives of employees,

  • to be a workplace where no violence is tolerated, including, among other things, gender-based/sexual violence/harassment and bullying.

Klíníkin Ármúla enforces its equal pay policy through the following actions:

  • Implements and maintains an equal pay management system in accordance with the requirements of the ÍST85 standard.

  • Obtains equal pay certification in accordance with Article 7 of Act No. 150/2020.

  • Conducts an annual wage analysis and presents the results to staff.

  • Responds with improvements and monitoring if the requirements of the standard are not met.

  • Annual management review where equal pay goals are set forth.

This plan and policy shall be reviewed every three years. ​

Implementation and review

The Managing Director is the owner of the equal pay system. The Project Manager is responsible for the operation of the equal pay system, i.e., documentation, implementation, improvement, and execution, as well as ensuring that the policy and the equal pay system as a whole are maintained, reviewed, and revised. Furthermore, the equality representative is responsible for ensuring that a review of the equal pay system's effectiveness is conducted annually and that action is taken if necessary. The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for ensuring that all data to be reviewed is available for the annual review.

The management of Klíníkin commits to enforcing and bearing collective responsibility for maintaining continuous improvements in all aspects of the equal pay system.
