Service Survey - Endometriosis

Good results from endometriosis surgeries — service survey results

In July 2026, a service survey was conducted among women who underwent surgery for endometriosis at Klíníkin in the year 2025. All responses were non-personally identifiable.

A total of 83 women responded, on average about 14 months after surgery. Questions were asked about pain, absence from work or school, quality of life, treatment, complications, fertility, and satisfaction with the service.

Key findings

  • Pain was significantly reduced: The median worst pain went from 9 out of 10 before surgery to 5 out of 10 at follow-up. 92% of respondents felt they had less pain than before surgery, and more than half experienced at least a 50% reduction.

  • Absence from work and school practically disappeared: The median days of absence due to endometriosis went from 5 days in every four weeks to zero days, and 76% of respondents had no absence in the last four weeks.

  • Symptoms improved for most: 80% of respondents said their symptoms were better or much better than before surgery.

  • Complications were rare and mild: 6% developed an infection within 90 days of surgery, mostly a mild wound infection that cleared up with antibiotics, and 2.5% underwent or had a repeat surgery scheduled. No respondent reported a serious complication.

  • Satisfaction with the service was high: 94% of respondents rated the overall service a 4 or 5 out of 5.

We at Klíníkin are pleased with these results. They show beyond a doubt that surgery can help significantly in certain cases — pain was greatly reduced for the vast majority, absence from work and school virtually disappeared, and the vast majority experienced improved well-being. At the same time, the results provide us with important information on where we can improve our services even further.

Finally, we would like to thank all the women who took the time to answer the survey. Their contribution is invaluable and helps us to further develop our services for the benefit of women with endometriosis.
