New doctor at Klíníkin
A new doctor has started working at Klíníkin
This week, Dr. Kristín Jónsdóttir will begin working at Klíníkin. She is a general surgeon who also specialises in problems related to the lower digestive tract.
Kristín completed her medical degree from the University of Iceland in 2006. She lived and worked in Sweden for 11 years. First in Västerås, where she obtained her specialisation in general surgery in 2016, and then in Uppsala, where she worked as a specialist in colorectal surgery.
Alongside her work at Klíníkin, Kristín will work as a surgeon at the Akureyri Hospital.
Kristín treats a wide range of conditions. Most notably, inguinal and umbilical hernias, gallbladder surgeries, and pilonidal sinus surgeries. She also treats conditions related to the colon and rectum, such as haemorrhoids, anal fissures, fistulas, constipation, and faecal incontinence.
