Eyjólfur Árni and Rannveig Rist new board members of Klíníkin

At the annual general meeting of Klíníkin, which took place yesterday, Eyjólfur Árni Rafnsson and Rannveig Rist were elected as new board members. Gestur Jónsson, attorney, stepped down as chairman of the board after five years of service, and Helena Sveinsdóttir, physician, also leaves the board. They were thanked for their selfless and successful work. Eyjólfur Árni takes over the chairmanship of the company's board, and Rannveig Rist will be the vice chairman.

The board of Klíníkin is now composed as follows:

• Hjálmar Þorsteinsson

• Hrólfur Einarsson

Eyjólfur Árni Rafnsson is the chairman of the Confederation of Icelandic Enterprise (SA). He is a qualified carpenter and holds a PhD in engineering. He was the CEO of Mannvit hf. and its predecessor until the end of 2015. He has undertaken numerous consulting and management roles and sits on the boards of various companies. Eyjólfur Árni has been on the board of the Confederation of Icelandic Enterprise since 2014, on the executive committee of SA since 2016, and was elected chairman of the association in 2017.

Rannveig Rist has held the position of CEO of the Aluminum Smelter in Straumsvík since 1997. She is a marine engineer, engineer, and holds an MBA degree from the University of San Francisco. Rannveig has extensive board experience and currently sits on the boards of various companies. Rannveig has also sat on the board of the Confederation of Icelandic Enterprise and has been the chairman of Samál, the association of aluminum producers.
