Þorsteinn Viðar Viktorsson
Specialist in general surgery
Þorsteinn Viðar is a specialist in general surgery with a special focus on both hernias as well as colorectal problems.
He completed his medical degree from the University of Iceland in 2008. He pursued specialist training in Sweden during the years 2012-2021, first in Halmstad, and later in Gothenburg.
In addition to his work at Klíníkin, he also works at the Akureyri Hospital.
Þorsteinn performs various laparoscopic (minimally invasive) procedures including hernias, colon surgery, and gallbladder removals. He also treats problems related to haemorrhoids and related ailments. Additionally, he handles all minor interventions such as the removal of moles, lipomas, and ingrown toenails.
