Hjörtur Brynjólfsson
Orthopaedic surgery specialist
Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Iceland in 2011.
Worked in the orthopaedic surgery department at Landspítali University Hospital and at Orkuhúsið after his internship.
Began residency training at Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen in 2014. During his residency, he also worked at Kysthospitalet in Hagavik and completed his residency at Haraldsplass Diakonale Hospital in Bergen.
Worked at Haraldsplass as a specialist in shoulder and elbow disorders until 2024.
Fellowship with Philippe Collin in Rennes, France in 2021
Member of SECEC-ESSSE, the European Society for Surgery of the Shoulder and the Elbow
Member of ESSKA-ESA, European Shoulder Associates (arthroscopy association)
