Helena Sveinsdóttir

Helena graduated with a general medical degree from the University of Iceland in 1995. She completed her residency in general surgery at the hospital in Halmstad, Sweden, and obtained her specialist licence in that specialty in 2002. She specialised in plastic surgery at the University Hospital in Malmö, receiving her specialist licence in 2005.

Helena specialises in breast surgery and breast reconstruction, working in this field primarily at the University Hospital in Lund and also at the hospital in Kristianstad.

Helena began working in plastic/cosmetic surgery in 2009 at Citadellkliniken, which is the largest private clinic in southern Sweden and the second-largest clinic in Sweden in this field, and one of the first clinics to perform breast augmentations with an incision in the armpit. She has been working there full-time since 2013. Helena performs all the most common procedures in this field; breast procedures including augmentation, reduction, or lift, eyelid surgery, facelifts, liposuction, but her favourite procedures are tummy tucks (abdominoplasties).
