Einar Örn Einarsson
Specialist in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine
Einar Örn graduated with a medical degree from the University of Iceland in 1996. In 1998, he headed to Berlin for specialist training in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine at the Unfallkrankenhaus Berlin.
After three good years in Germany, he moved to Stockholm and completed his studies at Karolinska University Hospital in 2004. There, Einar worked as a specialist for three years before starting work at Landspítali in 2007, where he still works alongside his practice at Klíníkin Ármúla since 2015.
Einar Örn completed the European specialist medical exam in anaesthesia in 2004. He added a subspecialty in intensive care medicine in 2010, a two-year programme under the auspices of the Scandinavian Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine (SSAI).
Einar Örn is active in teaching medical students and has managed training for residents in the anaesthesia department, as well as organising courses both in Iceland and abroad. Additionally, he has served on the SSAI education committee for the past 8 years and has also been a representative on the medical board of Landspítali since 2011.
